Principle – Natalie
Natalie trained at ‘The Urdang Academy’ London where she gained her Level 6 National Diploma in Musical Theatre and Dance. Before this Natalie trained locally at Read Dance and Theatre College.
She trained in – Street Dance, Commercial, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Singing and Acting. She is also a fully qualified AcroDance Teacher affiliated with Acrobatics Arts.
Professional credits include dancing in many live shows on Cruise ships and resorts around the world. She was lucky enough to spend 4 months in India learning Bollywood in the heart of Mumbai. Here she was flown to various places to perform in many music videos and famous TV productions such as Dance India Dance and India’s got Talent.
Whilst training and after graduating Natalie has continued to teach in various schools and companies around Berkshire. She is very keen to pass on all the knowledge she gains in the Industry to young budding performers in the local community she grew up in.
In 2018 Natalie became the owner and principle of Steps Ahead. In September 2020 she opened a Basingstoke Branch to run alongside the Newbury branch. She is passionate about teaching and helping students grow in confidence.
Jazz – Teacher in Basingstoke
Hi I’m Jazz and I’m a cover teacher at Steps Ahead. I started at Steps Ahead as an assistant teacher and now I’m fortunate enough to teach my own classes. I’m currently in my third and final year at the university of Winchester studying primary education. One of my highlights of working with Natalie and Steps Ahead is the yearly summer school which I’ve now done for three years, I also feel an immense sense of happiness watching each dancer develop their confidence and performance. Teaching at Steps Ahead makes me feel incredibly happy and I’m so proud of each and every individual dancer.
